Dressing Down
Yes! It is finally the end of a long week! However, I do work tomorrow and starting Monday I will be working AND going to school!
Basically I will be out from 8-10pm.
I will be needing a long vacation once this semester ends.
Friday nights usually mean date night for me and Richard and we decided to go to Pasta Pomodoro today.
I needed some wine after this long week.
Pasta Pomodoro obligatory bread. Their dipping sauce is so bomb.
My side caesar salad.
Richard’s polenta. This was actually on the menu awhile back and they brought it back. Richard was so sad when they got rid of it.
My pasta which was so delicious! It was chock full of vegetables and lots of pecorino cheese.
Richard’s healthy grilled chicken and roasted vegetable salad.
We shared a baked lemon pudding.
Do I look like I’m happy or what?
I finally wore my Alexander Wang leather trim pants! I love how comfortable but stylish they are.
I also wore a Theory asymmetrical hem shirt.
So, when Richard was taking pictures of me at the restaurant, there were two middle-aged women (who obviously had more drinks than a frat party) that actually looked at me and started laughing. I know they were laughing because Richard was taking a million pictures of me. However, I couldn’t help but give them a stank-eye.
How do you deal with the public when taking pictures for your blog?
Nars
So, I finally used my Nars Kaduki Kabuki lip color set that Richard bought me for Christmas!
Remember this?
The first color:
It looks neutral in the pot and looks a bit dark but I don’t think it really shows on my lips.
The second color:
This is a bright berry color. Nars is very pigmented so it didn’t take a lot of product in order to get an intense color.
The third color:
My favorite color of all three. You know me and my classic reds.
The best part about this set?
The brush. The tip is fine but the rest of the brush is thick so it’s a great combination of a lipliner brush and a regular lip brush.
Which color do you like best?
Beauty Galore
Are you Afraid of the Dark?
I had a weird encounter two nights ago.
I was downstairs watching television when I heard footsteps down the hall above my head. I usually hear footsteps but on the other side of the house when my dad goes to the bathroom and I usually hear him close the bathroom door. However, I didn’t hear any doors and my dog Maximus growled and he never growls. I ignored everything when I went to sleep later I saw that the door to the furnace, which we never open, was wide open.
I’m not the most religious person but I am very spiritual. I do believe in spirits and I believe that spirits and demons follow you on certain circumstances. I mean, I did grow up with a grandma who believe in ghosts and parents who tell you scary Korean ghost stories when growing up.
But, it makes me wonder why I’m experiencing all this.
Have you had any weird spiritual encounters? Do you believe in spirits?
Feeling Peachy
I am obsessed with a new blush color!
I usually go for baby pink cheeks but have been experimenting with darker colors for contouring and now I’ve ventured into something in between.
MAC’s Pinch O Peach.
My friend recommended Peachy Keen so I went to the MAC counter to purchase it but I must’ve mixed up the names and ended up getting this instead.
What a beautiful mistake.
If you wear blush, what color do you usually wear?
[ p.s. I'm not naked! I'm trying on a strapless dress ]

My Favorite Salad
I would say I’m a pretty low-maintenence girl.
Sometimes you can just put food in front of me and I’ll be the happiest girl in the world. Hence, why my mama is one of my favorite people in the world.
I’m also a creature of habit. I’m one of those people who will always get the same thing at the same restaurants because once I have something great, I just crave it!
I met up with two of my friends at Nordstrom right near my work. This Nordstrom cafe isn’t the fanciest because they don’t have french fries and it’s basically salads or sandwiches.
When I went today, they had my favorite salad in the whole wide world!
It was on the menu as a chef’s special and it came with seared ahi tuna instead of the usual salmon that the other Nordies have.
Hands down, my favorite salad ever. I dare you to recommend me a place to get awesome salads and try to change my mind because I highly doubt that!
It was too cold so I had a hot tea on the side. Ya’ll know I’m currently obsessed with black tea with lemon and honey.
How was your Wednesday?
Red and Gold
How was your weekend loves?
I had a 3 day weekend and it was one of those eventful weekends.
On Saturday, Richard and I decided to throw ourselves a feast for the Niners vs. Saints game.
Of course we started off with chips, guacamole, sour cream and salsa.
We got a party platter at Costco but it’s not very good =(.
That game was soo good! I love close games like that!
During the second game we made ourselves some dinner.
Richard made fish tacos and they are the most delicious things ever. I don’t know what Richard puts in his white sauce but I made sure I put a huge dollop in every taco.
Did you watch the playoff games?
Slitted Up
I did some projects this week.
I didn’t have any drawings done even though I planned on drawing a couple of pages in my sketchbook however, I did alter some of my pants and even created slits on my Vince pants.
I also got this amazing wool shirt with a huge slit on the back from T by Alexander Wang’s line.
Don’t mind the bra. I didn’t feel like going bra-less.
Richard and I decided to keep things chill this Friday and just had dinner at BJ’s.
Fried calamari.
Chicken wontons with buffalo sauce and ranch.
Mini bruschetta with pesto vinaigrette.
Santa Fe salad.
Now I’m home watching Miami Ink.
What are you up to?
Apartment Pants

Did I mention I used to dress really down from age 18-20?
I felt really uncomfortable with my body because I was about 145lbs. I know, in theory it’s not much but when you’re only 4’11.75″ it’s like wearing a fat suit. My pants size was a size 8 and I was a medium on top and I was so uncomfortable in my skin.
I practically lived in sweats and men’s tees. I wore the same thing almost everyday and just looked at all my pretty clothing in size 0, 2 (remember I’m super short!).
I don’t miss being chunky at all. I couldn’t really breathe at night and I sweated like a mad man. However, I miss my sweats.
This is why this is the best purchase I’ve made allllll year.

T by Alexander Wang merino wool sweatpants.
It’s such a great item because you wear them with heels and a great top! They’re treated like trousers.
